St. Valentine’s Koalas < Gina & Dante >

Since the beginning of Tarturumies we have had the pleasure of sharing different designs for Valentine’s Day.
The first shared love project was in 2016 with the Special “Love is in the air” where our protagonists were the most adorable couple that you can meet <Agatha and Argus> for us they are very special, since they accompanied us at the beginning of this beautiful project … Agatha and Argus have been loved from all corners of the world, many of you have shown us versions and told beautiful stories that you have shared with them.
In 2017, a year later arrived our tender Sweet Heart Bears <Donna – Francis – Romeo> … what we can say about them? … you have adored them as much as we do and today they are one of the most beloved designs for all of you.
We’re already in 2018 and we continue accompanying you with all the enthusiasm and hoping to share many more moments together. Today, we present a new version of love as our hearts feel, this time we have thought of making another couple based on an animal that could transmit what is tenderness and love just by looking at it … Who has not melted ever with see a little koala? … If they are sooooo cute! … Well, to not extend much more, that’s how we decided on our adorable Koalas!!!

Gina and Dante enjoy their days together with their favorite eucalyptus tree, they have marked it so that their love is eternal, all a sweetness of a couple …
We hope you fall in love with them as much as we do … HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY

 FELT PART

ASSEMBLE

1.- Embroider the eyelids with a yarn of the same color as the head. Give 2 turns over the safety eye. Then embroider with white yarn a line under the safety eye. (in case of make Gina, also embroider some eyelashes on the sides of the safety eyes with light gray yarn).
2.- Sew the nose to the head between Rnds.21 and 26 (counting from the top). Sew it centered between the eyes, leaving 3sc to 4sc away to each eye.
3.- Sew the inner ear inside the outer ear. Place the straight base of the inner ear on the Rnd.4 (counting from the edge) of the outer ear and in the center of it. Only pick the straight part, along, on the indicated round, it will remain as if it was half loose.
4.- Sew the ears (already armed) to the head between the Rnds.7 and 24 (counting from the top). To position the upper part of the ear, count 17sc in the central of the Rnd.7 and sew on each side. To position the lower part, count in Rnd.27 from below the nose, about 12sc on both sides and have that reference, at that height approximately but on Rnd.24 sew them.
5.- Glue the cheeks to the head one on each side, under the eyes between the Rnds.23 and 24 (counting from the top).
6.- Sew the legs to the body between Rnds. 2 to 8 (counting from the bottom).
7.- Sew the arms to the body between Rnds. 7 to 9 (counting from the neck seam).
8.- Join the head centered to body sewing the openings of head and body together.
9.- Place the scarf around the neck, overlap one end over the other leaving the button up and sew.
NOTE 1: To make the assembly, always follow the instructions and the images. It will be much easier to understand the steps.
NOTE 2: If you don’t want to glue the pieces of felt, you can sew them as an alternative!
