MATERIALS AND TOOLS

Depending on what size you want to get your heart and how want the crochet to look, you must choose the yarn + the necessary crochet hook.

… the size of the light blue heart is ideal to complement your amigurumis. You can add it to one of our little ones, like Melman the Hippopotamus or the Christmas Bears Flynn and Otto, they’ll be great to give as gifts.
We’ve used 100% cotton yarn for crochet hook 3 – 3.5 (1mm wide) + 2mm hook (Clover Amour – US A/0 – UK 14).
Measurements: 15cm width x 10.5cm height (5,90 inches width x 4,13 inches height – approx).

 … for the fuchsia and yellow hearts we’ve used acrylic yarn for crochet hook 4 – 4,5 (3mm wide) + 3mm hook (Clover Amour – UK 11). Measurements: 18cm width x 13cm height (7,08 inches width x 5,12 inches height – approx).

… for the mint green heart we’ve used 100% cotton yarn for crochet hook 3 – 4 (2mm wide) + 3mm hook (Clover Amour – UK 11). Measurements: 18cm width x 13cm height (7,08 inches width x 5,12 inches height – approx).

… the gray heart is ideal as a cushion to decorate your home.
We’ve used a fluffy yarn. To be able to crochet it with comfort, it’s best to crochet it together with a thinner yarn, in this way you’ll be able to see the stitches easy.
Crochet together: 100% cotton yarn for crochet hook 3 – 3,5 (1mm wide) + fluffy yarn 100% polyester for crochet hook 4,5 – 5,5 + 5,5mm hook (Clover Amour – US I/9 – UK 5).

You’ll also need:

– Fiberfill (for stuffing)
– Yarn Needle (for sewing)
– Scissors
– Stitch Markers (they’re very useful to mark the first stitch of each round and not get lost – If you don’t have it, you can replace it with a safety pin or with a piece of yarn of another color to see it easily)

Let’s start with the instructions …

Always work in continuous round. Make 2 equal pieces until Rnd.10. The 1st piece you’ll do 1sl st and FO. leaving a long tail. The 2nd piece don’t FO., you’ll make the union of both pieces with it.

Round 11.- Make 42sc on the 1st piece and continue crocheting another 42sc in the 2nd piece (84)
(To make it easier for you to see how you should continue with the 42sc of the 2nd piece, we recommend you leave the stitch marker that you were using in the 2nd piece before joining, as you can see in the photos below. When you’ve make the sc in the 2nd piece, can remove that stitch marker and only leave the stitch marker of the 1st piece with which count the beginning of each round).
