It’s time to receive pure tenderness and give our heart to a new member of Tarturumies …. She’s ALFA !!!

Free Amigurumi Crochet Pattern
Giraffe < Alfa >

On last July 15 we celebrated the 2nd birthday of Tarturumies and we welcomed two great friends: Melman and Pi ♥♥ … After seeing all the affection you have given them since their arrival, we decided to increase the family and today Alfa join with great enthusiasm!!!!

Alfa is a tender giraffe who has decided to honor Rothschild’s giraffe without spots. This little one has appeared in Kenya in the year 2016 among those of its species with this rare characteristic. Although it has this difference that makes it unique, it’s only due to a genetic change and it’s a healthy and precious giraffe that will have a long life next to its companions

Alfa welcome to the big family KENYA!

Next you will find the pattern, and also the option to download the PDF, more detailed and to archieve with your pattern collection – Remember that with the download, which is totally free, you are collaborating with Tarturumies, giving us the possibility to continue creating free patterns to share with you all.

You can also collaborate purchasing the Premium Patterns in our Etsy Shop, we’ll be very grateful

ASSEMBLE BRANCH
Sew the small branch to the large branch between Rnds.9 and 11. Then, sew 1 small leaf and one large leaf on the small branch. To finish, sew the small leaf that has remaining on the large branch, between the Rnds.12 and 13 of the opposite side of the small branch.

 ASSEMBLE GIRAFFE
1.- Embroider the eyelids with a yarn of the same color as the head. Give 4 turns over the sa- fety eye. Then embroider with white yarn (more wide) a line under the safety eye. If it is the same yarn of the snout give it at least 2 turns.
2.- Sew the snout to the head. To do this, count from the top of the head to the Rnd.19 (will be the round under the eyes). Once in it, count 9sc wide and centered with eyes. Use that base to match the top of the snout. Place it between Rnds.19 and 27 by helping with pins and sew.
3.- Sew the horns to the body between the Rnds.3 to 6 (counting from the top).
4.- Sew the inner ears inside the widest part of the base ears.
5.- Sew the already armed ears to the head between the Rnds.8 to 12 (counting from the top).
6.- Join the head (assembled) centered to body sewing the openings of head and body toget- her.
7.- Sew the legs to the body. The yarn to sew them will be in the upper part of the legs, we will only use the yarn of one of them, the other hide and FO. The chosen yarn must be placed to the Rnd.3 (counting from the top), that side will be the interior of the 1st leg. To sew them, they must be sewn together by placing 1 on each side of the body, matching the Rnd.3 of the leg with the Rnd.14 of the body (counting from the bottom). Place the two in position by helping with pins, take the yarn of the 1st leg and insert it with the needle inside the body (in Rnd.14) until crossing and find the 2nd leg. There, pass the needle through the 2nd leg and pass only through the inside (ie, the part that will remain attached to the body). Go back through the body (in Rnd.14) and get back to 1st leg. Reinforce once more with another equal turn so that they are well subject. In this way, movement is achieved in the legs and the amigurumi can be accommodated in the desired position.
8.- Sew the arms to the body in the same way as the legs. Match the Rnd.3 of the arm with the Rnd.12 of the body (counting from the seam of the neck).
9.- Sew the tail to the body looking down to the side between the Rnds.14 to 15 (counting from the bottom).
NOTE : To make the assembly, always follow the instructions and the images. It will be much easier to understand the steps.
